JPT Gets Enhanced Communication With Vinitial App

The staff at Jersey PT values communication with patients as well as patient feedback. These two factors led owner Marc Rubenstein to pilot the use of a new application with his patients at the Jersey Physical Therapy Plainsboro location.

Last year, while attending the Private Practice Conference in Orlando, Florida, Marc met Dave Kittle, who graduated from the same physical therapy school that Marc attended, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Dave introduced Marc to his company Vinitial, an “app” that patients download to communicate with their physical therapist and with the front desk staff. Marc saw the app as a way to enhance communication with his patients in a safe and effective manner. Marc states, “Patients have really enjoyed using the app to send messages regarding their progress in physical therapy or to ask questions they may have when we don’t have office hours.” Marc also intends on using the app to allow patients to contact the office if they are running late, need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. “This app has already allowed us to have improved communication with our patients and be more efficient in office operations”.

100% HIPPA Compliant

The app is HIPAA compliant and there are no cell phone numbers exchanged.  Now more than ever people are using their smartphones and mobile devices and Vinitial is a great fit for the physical therapy space.

Download Vinitial

To download Vinitial, go to the Apple App Store for the iPhone or iPad app, or the Google Play Store for any Android device. The app is free. Simply download the app and search for your physical therapist.

JPT hopes to continue to increase the use of the Vinitial app at other locations as thet year progresses.  “It is truly a great tool for getting patients more engaged and shows technology can make a difference to enhance recovery.”
